The annual air conditioning energy consumption is generally obtained through performance-based simulation which requires accurate boundary conditions. The calculation process is cumbersome. However, the typical design day method is usually used to calculate the cooling load in many large, medium, and small high-speed railway stations, which cannot provide the predicted annual operating energy consumption and actual energy consumption for the air conditioning system. This paper uses the concept of integrated part load value (IPLV), taking a high-speed railway station in hot summer and cold winter zone as an example, to analyse and provide a calculation method for the COP and operating time of the water chillers under different load rates. This calculation method can estimate and predict the design energy consumption, and achieve the goal of quantitatively controlling the energy consumption and carbon emissions of the air conditioning system during the design phase.
